For example, an 8:1 twist rate means that it would take eight inches of the barrel per a full revolution. The twist rate refers to how many inches within the barrel it takes for the spiral grooves within the bore to make a complete revolution. Last but not least, pay attention to the twist rate of the barrel. Which in turn will make your bullet trajectories less consistent.
